When using Google Search Console, you’ve probably encountered the “Discovered – Currently Not Indexed” status in the Page Indexing report. Let’s explore what it means and how to address it.
Initially, it’s important to understand that Google doesn’t index all content from a website. This isn’t necessarily an error or a problem that requires immediate attention. It simply indicates the current status of these pages.

You can provide structured data as part of your website by adding a bit of structured data into the content of your home page you can tell Google search how you’d like the site name to be shown in the search results. For those of you who can’t add structured data into the content of their site make sure that the name of your site consistently appears in the title of all pages. Some content Management Systems let you do that by setting a site-wide name some might require you to manually add the site name to the page titles either before the page’s specific title or after it.
Also, note that this only works for subdomains or top level domains but not on a per directory level. After you’ve done this give it a bit of time for Google to process your updates to show the site name. You can also use search console and request the home page to be re-indexed with the new markup to speed that process up a notch.
